Offered here is an English miniature or demitasse cup & saucer set crafted as a commemorative souvenir of the 1937 coronation of King Edward VIII. Edward of course abdicated the throne & his brother George succeeded him. This English set is made of glazed pottery with the colorful emblem of Edward on the exterior of the cup & saucer flanked with flags & crown. Gorgeous gold decorative details edging both parts as well. Cup measures 2-1/4" in diameter & 2-1/4" tall. Saucer measures 4-3/8" in diameter. The underside of the cup & saucer bases are marked as pictured with a few gold numbers, but no attribution as to the manufacturer. Condition is excellent! No chips/cracks or repairs & minimal use. There is no crazing or staining noted. Fantastic set to add to any collection as we welcome the birth of the next generation of  English royalty!
